Vampyrvania and Camp Ghoul Mountain Part VI Updates
It’s spring here in Gothic upstate New York, which means perpetual grey and rainy skies—perfect weather to work on horror books. Here’s a couple of updates on upcoming projects.
Vampyrvania
The core rulebook for Vampyrvania is complete, with 200 locally printed copies sitting in my office, ready for eager players. My partner on this project, artist Pete Lazarski, and I decided to postpone the launch of the core rules until the first supplement book, The Clock Tower adventure module, was also ready. Pete’s been hard at work on the art for that adventure. You can follow his progress on his Instagram account (imaginarymonsters.shop).
The adventure itself has been playtested and revised, so once the art’s in, we move right into layout and printing. The books will launch together, alongside PDF versions for those who like digital RPG books.
Camp Ghoul Mountain Part VI Reprint
Over the past few months I’ve received a number of requests about getting Camp Ghoul Mountain Part VI: The Official Novelization since it left print. I am actively working on producing a new version for release under Muzzleland Press, but I’m rebuilding the book from a low-resolution PDF of the original edition…which is about as much fun as it sounds. It will be out later this year. If you’re interested in the book, I’d recommend you read Project Vampire Killer and The Haunting of Camp Winter Falcon while you wait, as they share similarities in theme and form (those books are also available from your online book retailer of choice).
Other Projects and NecronomiCon
Meanwhile, The Mausoleum of Gore: A Halloween TV Special is on deck for the editor. Barring further crises, that book will be ready this Halloween. Further out is another Vampyrvania supplement and a return to work on the Splatter Zone RPG—itself a fork of Vampyrvania. I’ve got plans for more fiction, but being that I work full time and have a family in addition to being a writer, my schedule is stacked, and I’m focused on getting these projects out the door.
I hope to attend NecronomiCon in Providence this August, and recommend you do, too, if you can swing the trip. Copies of all of these new books will be available here and, should I get approved as a vendor, at the convention as well.
